Mr. Kamlesh Barot takes over as President of the Federation
of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI). The Federation of Hotel
&
Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI), founded in the year 1955 by the
late Shri Rai Bahadur Oberoi, is the apex body of the Hospitality Industry
in India which represents about 3700 Members, comprising of 2397 Hotels,
(with nearly 141805 rooms) and 1165 Restaurants, (with nearly 107982
covers) including Resorts & Hotels along the coast-line of India.
At the 55th Meeting of the Executive Committee of the FHRAI,
held on 30th November 2011 in New Delhi, Mr. Kamlesh Barot, Director of
Barot Hotels Pvt. Ltd, Mumbai was elected as President for the year
2011-2012. Mr. Vivek Nair was elected as the Hony. Secretary. To
accomplish the responsibilities ahead for this year at the FHRAI, the
following luminaries have joined them as:
a) Mr. K. Syama Raju - as the Vice
President
b) Mr. Rajindera Kumar - as the Vice President
c) Mr. Ratan Marothia - as the Vice
President
d) Mr. Deepak Puri - as Joint Hony.
Secretary
e)
Mr. Suresh Kumar - as Hony.
Treasurer
Mr. Barot is an innovative entrepreneur and an accomplished
Restaurateur, having had valued experience in India as well as abroad in
setting up many brands. He has been active in the Hotel and Restaurant
business and has been a committed member of FHRAI for the last 2 decades
in various positions and has been the President of HRAWI since 2010. He
shares the distinction of being one of the youngest ever President in
FHRAI's history. |
