TO LAUNCH 'DESTINATION GUIDE'
Travelguru.com plans to
officially launch the 'Destination Guide' programme by
mid-January, 2008. The aim is to introduce clients to those
Indian destinations, which do not probably rank among the
popular tourist attractions, yet have a lot to offer in terms
of tourism potential. Targeting the mid-sized market segment,
the portal will provide in-depth information, as well as
travel packages to the little-known destinations. According to
Hari Krishnan, Vice President - Product and Marketing,
Travelguru.com, the company is looking to offer about 100
not-so-popular Indian destinations by end of March, 2008 and
by December this year the target is to touch the 200-mark.
Incidentally, the portal had a soft launch of the programme in
mid-December, 2007 with 20 domestic destinations
YATRA LAUNCHES
'THE YATRA AFFILIATE PROGRAM'
Yatra Online Pvt. Ltd. has
announced the launch of 'The Yatra Affiliate Program', which
will serve as a business opportunity for website owners. On
registering as a Yatra Affiliate, which is free of cost, the
site owners will be able to feature Yatra's online products
and services on their website. Further, they stand to earn
commissions for sales generated through the affiliate website.
The commission for domestic and international flight booking
will be Rs 75 and Rs 100 per ticket, respectively. Affiliate
website owners will also earn Rs 200 commission on bookings
for domestic hotels and holiday packages. "The Yatra Affiliate
Program is an open business invitation to all websites'
owners. It is an opportunity to diversify their services to
assist their customers with travel related queries and
guidelines," said Dhruv Shringi, Co-Founder and CEO, Yatra
Online Pvt. Ltd.
